Possibly some questions, some musings and whining...
Hi Everyone,
Today was a tough day though I'm not sure why...just not in the best of moods I guess. Home is good...took dog to vet today for his yearly and he is healthy...thanking God. He's been my bud for almost 11 yrs. I did find out that Brutus, a rottie/dobie mix, who usually stays in the 80lbs bracket tho winter brings about 91, is now 102.3 lbs. He's not a big eater but vet would like to see him back in the 80's due to his large size. Umm sure:-/. I promised him that even though Brutus hates walking, like he walks 6 ft behind me, we will begin walking. Oh, wait till new vet meets Amelia, Grace and Ally...the fat kitties(cats). It's really only Gracie but Amelia is a bigger cat and Ally just has a belly.
Husby turned 55 today and is on vacay for a week but I went to work today. He hates celebrating his bday but wait till Sat lol...i've made hotel plans with another couple in another city...He hasnt a clue.
I realized today that I have a problem re my sleeve. Oh I'm fine and feel great, dont get me wrong. I just thought about a few things today. I thought about what i'm eating...typical day is usually 1.5-2.4oz of protein per meal unless its cottage cheese or yogurt. I have no room for veggies or anything. If i cut back on my protein for veggies I wont get near enough protein. Its not worth it for now. I'm not bored though I do tend to stick with basics of fish, chicken and sometimes tuna. Today I had 2 paper thin slices of roast chicken lunchmeat style and a slice of fatter muenster cheese. Half of that and I was full. I guess I'm not understanding and no, i'm not complaining...I'm just wondering why the wt is not falling off considering what I started at, 350. I seem to be going down approx 3lbs/week. I'm at 285 yesterday and I believe 2 weeks away from 12 weeks, maybe one week. I'm not sure what I expect or should expect. I do drink atleast 1 protein shake a day, sometimes milk in the evening after work. Dilemma is i do get full...and i stay full for hours/hours...like 5-6-7. I'm not over eating at meals and there are days I can not possibly do 3 meals let alone any snacks. I'm sure one day i'll be wishing it was like this again. I guess i feel like the wt should be falling off or i'm doing something wrong.
Another issue...BM...or lack there of.
I've gone without aid prob 2x's since surgery. Every week I either end up having to use Mag Citrate or Dulcolax supp. My surgeon is aware, all the surgeons in his practice are stumped and he referred me to a bm clinic...HUH??? I have an appt but its a few weeks away. Im thinking its from lack of fat being eaten and he says i'm wrong. With the aids i have no problem going so it seems to me to be a motility issue, which he agrees with, but we dont know why. I wonder if anybody else who is approx 10/11 weeks out is having this issue. Frankly, i'm tired of it.
So, this is my rant or ***** for now. If anybody has any ideas, thoughts, comments or insight to this extremely long post, im open to hearing any and all.
On another note. i've not eaten one starchy, carby etc since surgery. I'm guessing I will always have to remain vigilant about this. Thats scarey.

3 lbs a week is great , it took time for you to gain the weight it will take time to lose it , and the great thing with the sleeve it is the surgery that keeps on giving , it does not stop working as long as you stick to plan you will lose maybe a little slower down the road but it limits the volume you put in it for the rest of you life its just up to you what you put in it
try to add some fiber powder to your shakes , it will keep you full longer and help you go
