It's funny that you ask this question. I just bought myself a pill box. While I always remember my morning pills, I can never remember to take the 2nd dose at night. If you're just having issues in the morning keep them by your shake mix, or something else you go for first thing in the morning, a bottle of water? Good luck!

First...even with "my system" I forgot sometimes, but it's better than before....

I keep my pills on my bedside table....So first thing in the morning I take my pills....and I take those for the rest of the day with me in my pants pockets....as soon as I'm thinking about my pills, I take it....and just  before bedtime I'm taking the last one for the day....ok I've stop all the hard meds and I only take vitamines now....but even before that....that was "my system"

if you have a smart phone there are apps to remind you to take them ,on my computer I use the reminder on firefox to remind me to take a vitamin that I only take weekly

I love to eat. I do not "allow" myself to eat until I have taken my vitamins. This works for me. At night I take my iron on my way up to bed. It has become routine.

Figure something out. If you had RNY or DS (not sure what surgery you had) deficiencies can cause permanent damage.

I sort out all of my pills on Sundays and separate into a pill box and put a couple bottles of water next to it. First place I go when I enter the kitchen is the pills. Its just become a habit, but it's in a place where I cant miss it - first thing I see.

For my afternoon pills, I keep another pill box at work on my desk with water so when I get to my office (which seems to be rare) I can take them. Honestly, I could make a long list of excuses why I suck at getting the afternoon doses in but it simply comes down to me failing to make myself a priority. The world wont end if I stop what im doing at 2:00 and take a 5 minute break to take care of my health. I need to get bettter at it, but that's what it comes down to.

Thanks for asking Sarah, I'm in the same boat.  Pre-op on meds for a million things plus trying to remember vitamins and insulin.  Like Alison said (I love her) I know I don't make myself the priority.

We can do this!

I set up morning and evening rituals.  In the morning, I turn on the coffee maker, put my pills and vitamins next to my computer, get my coffee and then take the vitamins.  I never forget the coffee (smile) so it helps to tie the vitamins to that.

In the evening, I just start my bedtime ritual with my vitamins.  it seems to be working.

Good luck with this  We've got to keep ourselves healthy and this is important.
