First post here
I've previously posted on the VSG forum as that is the procedure I have had done. I am posting here as well because not everyone over there is coming from the same place. The same is true here, but it makes me feel a little bit more comfortable. Short intro, my name is Monica, I've been overweight for as long as I can remember 175 lbs. is the smallest I can remember being and I'm 5'2. I've always gotten the you would be so beautiful if you lost weight speeches, and heard the phrase big boned, and pleasantly plump more times than anyone should.
As I got older, had kids, got bigger you don't hear those anymore, most of your friends will mention they worry about your weight (if they truly care), others won't say anything, and then there are the strangers that will look at you sideways, or even make barnyard sounds, makes you want to adorn yourself with a pair of horns and go straight at them bull run style. That was a bit more than I meant to say, but that's it in a nutshell.
Despite the negative stuff I've put here I really do enjoy my life. Especially now that I can enjoy it. Since having my surgery a month ago I have lost 28 lbs, I no longer have knee pain constantly (there is still some with certain movements and activity), and I can pain my toe nails, it may look awkward, but I am taking it as a NSV. Sorry for the rant, and look forward to getting to know you all.
Monica

My first post here too. I am having sleeve surgery on Wednesday. I am very nervous, once they get in there, will my gallbladder and all be ok. I know weird. All pre op blood tests are normal. Nice to meet you on here. I feel like I belong on this forum as my HW is 340 CW 333. I'm looking forward to no leg pain too.
Welcome Monica,
I also post on the VSG boards but like it here as well, more people the same weight as me, but good information on both sites. Sleeve girl is the best and will give you tons of insight. I am not getting sleeved till probably Sept, a really looking forward to it.
Glad your here!
