5 months and 100 pounds... (with pics hopefully)
It's been a little over 5 months and I've lost 100 pounds. I can't believe it but it's true. I'm so glad I had this surgery and that I educated myself beforehand so I was ready to change my lifestyle. I still struggle with emotional eating but 90% of the time, I have been in control and made the choice to not abuse food and stick to my plan.
I wrote a list of things I wanted to accomplish with my weight loss and a lot of them I've already done even though I still have over 70 pounds to lose. Most of my clothes are too big on me now, even the ones I had that were way to small in the beginning. I have been exercising at least 5 days a week and jogging again and will be doing my first ever 5K this weekend with my husband. I feel much more comfortable traveling and meeting new people now... before it was torture having to meet new people or see people that I haven't seen in a while.
I know I have a ways to go still and the next 7 months of my first year after surgery will bring their own issues to deal with but I hope to keep moving on and facing my issues head on. Thanks for all the support I have gotten here. This forum has really felt like a little community and I love coming and reading and posting with people that understand my plight. You guys and gals are awesome!!
