I did a Mud Run over the weekend.
Yes me I did a mud run over the weekend. It was a amazing experience. And I made it to the finish line. I joined the team from my support group. The team members were amazing. Many of them had done runs before. But they helped us get through the course. We did it as a group and finished as a group. I couldn't do some of the obstacles. But considering were I was a year ago. Before my surgery walking was getting difficult. Now I am out there walking and running. When I crossed the finish line I burst into tears. I love my new friends and this new life.
YAY, Talula! That's awesome! It's amazing the transformations this surgery can afford us if we work with it! I signed up for my first 5k on June 15th. It's a 5K Color Run and its not timed, just for fun. I figured that would start me off slowly. I have been trying to run but can only do half a mile at a time now without stopping so I am sure I will be one of the last to finish... BUT I WILL finish! :-) I heard the tough mudders are crazy hard so I am super impressed that you were brave enough to do it and strong enough to finish! CONGRATS!!!!
