How much liquid are you getting? Dehydration can cause or exacerbate nausea. My number one tip for more liquid intake is hot no caffeine tea. It comes in lots of flavors.
Post op I discovered that my stomach does not like milk. At all. So I switched to unsweetened almond milk. Iy helped me get in my protein drinks. Some people have great luck with the clear protein drinks like Isopure, so that is an option.
Another way to approach this is to concentrate on eating your protein. My frind Kim on the RNY board is almost 9 years out and her plan did not include protein supplemrnts. Her rule of thumb was 30 grams of protein at 30 days, 60 at 60, and 90 at 90, so you work up to it. I am not against drinks and bars; I am just throwing that out there as on option.

Bleh stupid phone cut me off. Exercise can wait a bit until your nausea is under control. This is a rough patch; it will get better!
Take care.

I have a hard time with milk and protien shakes. I use my protien powder though even 2 1/2 years out, but mine has gone in my soups I eat. I usually take out 2/3 cup to lukewarm temp...stir/mix it to desolve ( do not add it to super hot or it will curd up. Then once it is desolved, add it to the hotter soup or temp you like. I do this with hot cider, hot chocolate ( sugar frees on the drinks...also coffee if you like cream in your coffee the protien powder acts like a cream in your coffee but again temp is warm to desolve and add to the rest of drink after desolved.

This is just an idea to try. By the way I only used no flavor ( plain ) protien powder from super supplements as it can have any flavors added and can be used in soups ect.

Great to hear no complications. Exercise can be added bit by bit as energy and healing happens. Going back to work and managing your new stomach is full time.

Best wishes!!

Thank u all for your thoughts.  i like the protein shakes but my stomach doesnt...it brings on the nasea instantly. I saw my surgeons pa for my 3 week post op. Even on purees i get full at about an ounce, some things a bit more. Ive been adding some unflavored unjury to soups n even veggies. It seems ok if i dont add much but every little bit helps. Ill b starting new vits tomorrow and b12. Im hoping this helps. 3 weeks/35 lbs down. Feeling hopeful.

i hope all is well.
