I am not a sleeve, but RNY....SEAFOOD has been ok with me. Chew it good.

Foods will be tolerated differently for everyone.... What works for some does not for others. I have attended regular support groups locally with all different WLS I hear the same thing. What is good for is not always good for others even with the same WLS patients.

Wishing you well!

Hugs

I really haven't experienced any difference in my food tolerances.  I can eat pretty much anything I ate before surgery.  I haven't tried eating bread or pasta at all but I have had a few low carb tortillas and that has been fine so far.  Almost all meat and seafood are fine with my sleeve.

The only thing that is slightly different is my taste for shrimp.  I used to love boiled or peel and eat shrimp and now they don't taste quite the same to me.  They don't make me sick or anything though, I just don't like them as much as I used to.  Also, my taste in sweeteners has slightly changed. They seem much sweeter to me now.  I used to use Equal but I switched to Splenda because it tastes less over the top sweet to me.

Shrimp is one of my favorites. I find it very dense and can't eat more than 2-3 shrimp as a meal. But, I find shrimp ****tail to be a fantastic option when eating out.
