Slew of tests this morning

Well, the after I left the sleep study this morning, I came home, took a long, hot shower to get all the sticky stuff out of my hair, got my kiddos to school and went to the imaging center for a mamo, gallbladder ultrasound and a upper GI. All was good until I had to drink the nasty seltzery, chalky, barium!! I chugged that stuff as fast as I could to get it over with. There was a pretty cool part to the upper GI, I started the X-ray process standing up with the table behind me and then they laid the table back while I was standing there and I went back with the table, pretty cool! Hee Hee, little things amuse me . Anyway, the doc said I do have reflux nut no disease or damage to the stomach or esophagus - yay!!!!!

I am glad they are done.  All that is left now is 5 more months of the supervised diet, unless the sleep study shows I have apnea and need the CPAP thingie, lets hope not indecisionI get the results next Thursday.

almost everyone that has the sleep study needs a cpap, if you need one ask to try the swift fx nose pillows they look uncomfortable but there the most comfortable mask

surprised they did the gallbladder test and upper gi so soon would think they would want it done just before surgery thats what my doctor does

Me too!!  I asked when I should have the test done and they said ASAP.  I guess since I have no other medical issues except beginning stages of metabolic disease and a little reflux, and I am on a 6 month supervised diet, they wanted to get all the surgeon's requirements completed and then all I have let to complete is the insurance req. 6 month supervised diet and lose 10 lbs prior to surgery.  I have to call the surgeon Monday and let them know that I completed all the things so they want pull all the reports.

Thanks for the recommendation on the CPAP swift fx nose pillows.  I will definitely do that if I have to have it.  I will find out on 4-11.

YAY! So glad that you have gotten all those tests out of the way.  That GI test was crazy.  I had to move all around on that table for all the pictures of my insides.  And my pants were kinda high waisted so I I had to unbutton them and kinda pull them down to the middle of my butt.... of course, I had on my bright, polka dot granny panties! LOL  I'm not used to the doctor and tests (I always stayed away as much as I could) so its been strange going through all the tests and being a patient. The next 5 months will go by faster than you think!
