Sleep Study Tonight
They stick lots of monitors to your head, chest, arms and legs and then tell you to engage in your normal bedtime routine, reading or whatever, for a little bit. Then you are expected to go to sleep, which, for me, was hard to do with all of that stuff. They monitor your vitals and also watch you from a video monitor. In my case, I had moderate apnea, which showed up right away, so they woke me up half way through the night to plug me into a CPAP. They used the rest of the night to get my levels right, and I went back a few days later to get my machine. Good luck! If you do have it, it is much, much safer for you to be using a CPAP, especially before surgery.
I didn't have to go into an office for my sleep study, thank goodness. I took home a little machine that i stuck to my forehead and it recorded my breathing patterns and everything. It showed that I also had moderate sleep apnea, which was very surprising to me. I met with a pulmanologist and he said my apnea wasn't too severe so I didn't need a CPAP machine. Very glad about that... hopefully my sleep apnea is disappearing the more weight I lose.
I hope everything goes well for you tonight and you are nice and tired so you can get some rest! :-)

almost everyone that has a sleep study needs a cpap,
if you have trouble sleeping both me and my hubby did ask for a sleeping pill
the beds where my surgeon sent me for the sleep study where not made for heavy weight and where very uncomfortable
I looked like a computer exploded with all the wires and boards on me
they say I slept 4 hours but I think they lied
don't plan on doing anything important the next day,I heard of people having the psychic exam the next morning no a good idea
