Introduction

You know, I never formally introduced myself. I just tromped right in here and made myself at home, BUT I think it is time to share my story so far.
I'm T'Anne. Thirty years old. "Big" my whole life. Started dieting at 8 years old (now you know that wasn't my idea) no kids, married in every way (except legally;)
ive always been really good at losing weight. The keeping it off was the problem. I hit thirty and said things have to change. I'm really happy with my rny. No complications, but I am scared of the regain.
PI am trying my very best to make this a lifestyle change. I have a super big picture of myself taped to the bathroom mirror with MOVE MORE written under it and that is exactly what I intend to do.
Started couch to 5k today. I'm awesome at starting stuff. I hope posting here (not just on fitness, but everything) will help keep me accountable.
This BMI over 50 forum has been AMAZING. And I am forever grateful!
Hi T'Anne!
So glad you are here! Don't you just love this forum? It's really the only one I go to now. The people here are amazing... they give love and support but they can tell you the truth too and snap you out of a pity party! :-)
We have a lot of similarities in our background and our goals. I have been overweight since birth! lol I started diets very young and the cycle of losing and gaining has been a pattern in my entire life.
I am also so afraid of regain and stretching my sleeve and failing at this and yada yada yada. I have been focusing on exercise and eating very healthy rather than trying to be on a "diet". I also signed up for a 5k in June so just started trying to run a little bit at a time now.
You seem to be doing great! I know you'll keep on going and you've got this! :-)

I never formally introduced myself either, but some of you know me from the RnY board.
I didn't stumble across this board for a long time, but I love it. There's no infighting as there is on the surgery specific boards, and I think we heavyweights have a longer row to hoe in some ways; only other heavyweights understand that. I admit that sometimes I find it irritating to read posts from people complaining about their 'slow' loss when their starting weight was only 50 or less pounds over my goal weight.
We are glad you are here.

Eh, sometimes families are just loud mouths that jump in and get it started, you're already family :)
Welcome, officially - and you're rockin'!

Welcome!!
Glad to see another RNYer here. We seem to have a lot of sleevers. And I also like this board. We are a mixture of all surgery types and not all the mean-spiritedness that the main board can sometimes have.
