Hi Sassy,

I wanted to tell you that you inspired me yesterday. I have been in a bad slump due to not feeling good. I have not worked out in almost 3 weeks. I went from working out 2 hours a day to nothing.... nada...... zilch.

I was starting to feel achy in my joints and was going downhill fast. I was so depressed and sad about my lack of energy.  I read your post and thought about the couch to 5K comment you mentioned and I looked it up online and thought I'd give it a try even though I had no desire to work out or do anything. I went on the couch to 5K Facebook and immediately felt motivated. I bundled up (it's 20 degrees here) put my fitbit on, got my dog and away we went. I did it! I am so happy with myself right now and i would have never done it if it weren't for you and reading your post. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I walked/ran 1.3 miles and burned 830 calories. For me today, that is a beginning.

I want to thank all the ladies who inspire me everyday on this forum. You are all so awesome. God is so good because He gave me all of you and all of us each other.

Hugs,

Sharon

We all seemed to hit a slump at the same time.  I ran on Monday but it had been 20 days since my last run.  That is unheard of for me!!  I just seemed to let life get in the way.  Then I got sick, then a back spasm.....it was just bad.  But now I am back in the game and every muscle hurts in the best way possible.  :-)   We are gonna have ups and downs, and further down, but what really matters is the way we get back up!   Big hugs to you!!

Lots of 5K's, 10K's., 4 1/2 Marathons, 3 Sprint Triathlon done. 2 Olympics and my  First IRONMAN 70.3 September 2013 and First Full Marathon Dec 2013  !!!!!

I am in the same place Alison is. I am having a very hard time. I cannot wrap my mind around doing what I need todo to be in the game.

About 2 weeks ago I started feeling sluggish and got a pain in my mid-back around my kidneys. i was sure it was a UTI and did everything holistically to get rid of it. The pain persisted and I finally bit the bullet and went to the doctor for a urine test and some Levaquin. The urine came back clean but the doc told me to take the rx anyway. I decided to try and do it holistically again and the pain persisted. The worst though, was the inability to exercise or move around. i lost all zip. I finally decided i could not stand it anymore and took the Levaquin. Well I am still in pain and cant figure out what the prob is.

I am very lucky because my sleeve stops me from eating a large amount. Thankfully I have not gained any weight. But I am not eating like i should. This morning I had a slice of ezekial bread with a spoonful of peanut butter and for lunch I had a chicken enchilada. I am in a bad rut and need to get my self back to where I once was.

On a positive note, the anal fissure that has been a major pain in my ass (literally) for the past 10 months is 90% better with my new vitamin regimen and essential oils.

I know what to do, I have all the foods in my fridge I need to be a winner at this game, I just need to get my head back in it.

I am happy for all the losers. Pray for me.

Hugs,

Sharon

lol I'm going to get a big green punch in the face but...I love my green juice.  Have  you cut out all veggies?  I had for so long and I was pale and started drinking my green juice and bam!  I feel so much better.  It's worth a shot.  My energy is up big time...even though it's PMS time.  Do  you think maybe it's your gall bladder?  Some people can feel back pain from that.  Is it after you eat?  It's very common after WLS.

The gall bladder is gone............I am hoping it isnt shingles. I had that about 10 years ago and it felt like this for about a month before the rash erupted.

I eat tons of veggies and fruit. I am the anti-protein chick right now.........I'm badd...............

Hugs,

Sharon
