Mondays weight in
Karine, I hate that bouncing around the scale does sometimes... so frustrating!

I could not believe the scale when I stepped on it this morning. I got on about 8 more times to make sure it was right. 300 EVEN. I can't believe this. I have lost 62 pounds and I am 1 ounce away from the 200s. LOL I am very glad about that especially because I am going on vacation starting tomorrow through the weekend and this is just more reason why I cannot let a vacation deter me from my goal. The condo complex we are staying in has a fitness center, plus I am sure there will be tons of walking on the beach and around Destin. My husband only eats once a day really so I will have my protein shakes and other food staples at the condo when I need to eat and while he pigs out at dinner, I'll just eat my small healthy portion... thank you new sleeve! :-) Couldn't do this without you!
Hope everyone else has a great week!

I'm pretty excited about that, especially since it's my TOM this week. I'm down nearly 55 pounds from my heaviest weight (which was back in September, before starting the six month diet), and some of my biggest clothes are now too big. I'm having to allow extra time to get ready in the morning because sometimes the first two or three things I try on are two big and have to go in the Goodwill pile!
That's awesome, Zra! It feels so good to be so close to the 200s... Its been quite a while for me since I have seen a number on the scale starting with a 2. If I ever see a 1 in front of it, I think I might faint!
I did a closet purge last weekend and took a lot of things to goodwill... it feels great to donate and get rid of the big stuff. A couple years ago, I was doing the opposite. I was getting rid of a lot of skinny clothes that I knew I would never fit into again... oh well, guess I'll just have to buy new clothes when I get there now! :-)
Thanks! That's sad that you got rid of your skinny clothes! I'm so, so happy that a part of me was a little bit optimistic that I might see a smaller size someday. I'm donating my 30s and 28s, but I have almost an entire wardrobe of 26s and 24s and a fair number of 22s. I love shopping in my closet (wearing a sweater today I haven't worn in at least five years!)
I burried my head in the sand for the week and refused to get on the scale. I knew it would be bad after a horrible weekend.
I might be done with the scale for a minute. I keep getting discouraged when I try and I dont see the results I want soooo...im just going to stick to my plan just because I *have* to and not because I need to lose weight. Hopefully weight loss will be an added benefit, but Its time to get serious about these life style changes that are completely separate from the feedback on the scale.
Im starting a running club this week -maybe I'll make some friends who I can connect with and keep me motivated to exercise and triathlon club starts next week. I'm going to take this week to start the trial and error of process of figuring out how to balance fueling my body and losing weight.
If I dont get my **** together soon, I'm going to be 400 lbs again real quick.
I wish I had known early out how hard this **** can get.....life was so simple until about 18 months post op. Then the real work kicks in.
