GOAL!
138 this morning!
This is my maintenance goal weight. I plan to lose three more pounds for wiggle room. I thought I would feel more excitement when I reached goal. I think the excitement is over shadowed by the fact that there is no finish line and maintenance scares me. My one year anniversary is April 2nd. I’m down 153 pounds since surgery and 197 from my high weight. A year ago, I was scared that the sleeve wouldn’t work for me. Now all my co-morbidities are gone and I’m healthy and active.
I sometimes see a thin person in the mirror but often not. In pants I wear 6 or a 4. In tops between a medium and large, sometime a small. It’s when I do laundry that the size of my clothes amazes me. I hold them up and think I’m not that size, how do I fit into them?
It’s been an incredible journey – mentally, emotionally and physically.
You are truly a rockstar!! Holy freaking smokes!!!

OMG!! Wow, that is amazing! In one year, you have lost an entire person. That is crazy!! You are right that its never really over but one day it will hit you.... You lost over half your body weight!! So wonderful. Take some time to enjoy it and do something you would never have done this time last year.

Excellent. Congrats!!
Stay on top of things and do not let regain ever enter the equation. For me what helps me stay at goal is to weigh everyday. 140 is my top weight. When I hit that, I track every bite that goes in my mouth and cut bac****il I am under it again. 3 pounds is a lot easier to lose than 20.
