the yoplat lights are good but the greek yogurt has more protein, you can add protein powder to yoplat lite

I ordered some samples of protein powder so I can do that. Can you add one of the flavored protein powders to vanilla yoplait light? Right?

I too ordered samples of protein about a month before surgery so I had some when I got home from the hospital. Keep in mind about what the other poster said, your taste buds WILL change. I spent alot of money on protein items that now sit on my floor untouched. I still have yet to find a protein anything that I like. Nectar was probably a top choice for me before surgery but it is WAAAYYY to sweet now even if I make i****ery which is pointless cause then there's hardly any protein in it. I tried premier as well and my pouch can't tolerate it. You have some time so hopefully you find something that will help you for your pre-op diet and then post-op, look for something else. Can't wait to see your progress! :D

Do you have Sam's Club or Costco out in Hawaii?  The only kind of Ready To Drink protein shakes I can stand now are the Premier protein shakes.  They are really good and have 30 grams of protein.  Not sure if you can order them off the internet but worth a try.  I also don't mind the Atkins Shakes that you can get at Walmart or Target but they have a little less protein. But in a pinch!

Oh and I found that I can handle pretty much any protein powder mixed with coffee.  That helps me alot.

Hey pretty lady! Actually, I did try premier protein too. I have two cases sitting on my floor with containers of nectar and whey protein. I have no idea why I can't tolerate it. I was going to try mixing it with coffee but I had a pretty bad coffee addiction before surgery and I've been doing so good without it that I don't want to mess myself up. Lmao.

Thank you for the info and your experience with the changing taste buds. I kinda think I will just stick to samples and have samples ready for after surgery that way I can find out what will work and what won't.
OMG - I just tried the Yoplait Greek yogurt coconut flavor and it was SO GOOD!!! Not as tangy as the chobani and okios. I am going to try the other favors of the Yoplait Greek yogurt!! Makes a good snack!!!

On a side note, I just tried the Yoplait Greek yogurt coconut and OMG - it is so good and not tangy like the chobani and okios. I am going to try other flavors to see if they are as good. This makes a really good snack!

I feel ya, sister!  I too am pre-op and trying to find breakfast foods that are easy to fix.  I am going to give protein shakes a try for breakfast this week instead of my usual breakfast tacos (I usually have two with egg, ham and cheese), followed by a protein bar for a mid-morning snack.

You could fix little egg cups in muffin tins and refrigerate them, like here:  http://www.kalynskitchen.com/2006/10/egg-muffins-revisited-again.html

Good luck!

I just got my samples and had a Power Crunch peanut butter fudge bar form my snack. It was pretty good. I will probably order some of them again. Tomorrow morning I will try one of the Protizmye whey protein powders with 8 oz fat free milk & Greek yogurt blended into a shake. I have to eat some SF FF jello instant pudding mix at some point, I like thicker shakes.
