Pre-op Newbie with diet questions
Breakfast is still my most rushed meal of the day, so I eat a protein bar while I am getting dressed in the morning. Protein shakes are really handy too, since they are portable.
I recommend heading on over to BariatricFoodie and TheWorldAccordingtoEggFace for some new recipes and ideas.
Take care:)

Generally, I prefer to eat whole foods. I did protein drinks postop, but avoided it if I could otherwise.
It's not perfect, but these days I have cottage cheese every morning for breakfast (the live active by Breakstone has probotics in it and helps with my tummy issues). I don't like nuking stuff, BUT you can spray a mug with Pam, scramble and egg, dump it in there and microwave it. I stir in a little fresh salsa. Nuke some turkey bacon and voila.
Protein bars are, as a general rule, just glorified candy bars. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Power Crunch ones and when I'm craving something, they help.

They are a little odd, I'll warn you. LOL! I prefer poached and it just takes a minute to do that so I usually just start a pot of water. Nuking is a good way to get a quick bfast though!

I haven't. I have a soy allergy and, looking at the ingredients, it's probably too much and I'd react to it. Fun times!
Epipen FTW! *laughing*
