Two weeks ago I went for my visit with the PCP, she told me to come back in 2 weeks to check my blood pressure and if it was still low we would discuss lowering my med. Well, today was the 2nd week and my bp was 114/73 so she said to cut my bp pill in half which takes me from the 50 mg to 25 mg! I am so dang excited!!!! And then she told me to come back in 2 more weeks for another bp check and if it is still low she will remove me from my bp med all together!!!!

This is fantastic to me because one of the biggest factors in me having WLS was to get off my bp med and now I am halfway to that goal! I started my bp med four years ago, right after I turned 22, and to finally start losing enough to where I can slowly start coming off of it is just wonderful! 26 is to dang young to be taking Atenolol~

Good for you!! I was about 6 months post-RNY when I got off my BP meds. So thankful for that. And now 4 years later, my BP is still good. I hate going to the doctor or dentist. I get really nervous and always have. I always have high readings there even before I was officially put on BP meds. Yesterday I went to the dentist, and even nervous my blood pressure as 119/77. Yay, me!! kiss

Thanks Laura. I am the same way with the doctor even before being put on meds. When they took my bp at the start of the appt it would ALWAYS be higher than if they'd take it on my way out, dang nerves. I am happy for you! 119/77 is fantastic!

You are living my dream. I am hoping they take me off mine as well. I am so dizzy when I bend over and I think it's from the low BP 90/70. I have an appointment on 04/08 and hope they stop it then.

Awesome....I am so happy for you!'

Thanks Sharon! And why not try and get an earlier appointment? Let them know what is going on!!!! I don't like the idea of you being dizzy!

Don't wait until you faint. I near faint everyday but the doctor doesn't do anything or can't, don't know! I am usually 100/60 not resting so imagine when I wake up in the morning or get up after sitting for awhile.

Your solution is to lower your pills so quickly to the dictor
