I feel like I have found my right fourm. I am not new to OH, just recently retruned for support and information. I am almost at my six post-op. and had a wake up call of thinking I had regained 40lbs. to find it, it was 25lbs. but wt. gain is that. However that 40lbs. did scare me, back to getting on track,or should I say atleast trying. It's been so difficult. I started over 3 wks. ago, a low-carb moderation with the basics- protein, vits. water and beloved excercise, need more of that for sure. Had some intial loss, which motivated me, but then already, a regain. of 5lbs. and Iam so discouraged- but...................I refuse to give up.
My worst enemy but my best friend is my apple martini-nightly ****tail. That I will have to let go! for a good while. It's just usually the one, but it's not helping me, so I have to give it up for sure. I did it, when I was pregnant, & right after wls, so surely I can do it again, to help me lose wt. again. Okay there's my story.
Be kind in your feedback and or suggestions. I am going to be here for the long haul again! never stayed away too long, but I need new friends and support for sure,as I venture into yet another journey of wls- regain, and finally reaching goal.
but at what cost. And a revision is not in my plan.

Welcom, Youve definitely found a great place with people who can relate. This is definitely a difficult journey especially as we get further out. I'm and down and all over the place but as long as your promise yourself you will never stop trying, you will be good to go :)

Hi Ladybug!
Ditto to everything the other posters said. :-) Welcome back and you definitely can get some awesome support from this group. I am only 2 months postop but I have come here to whine and complain and they are always so supportive and give great advice.
Like Allison said, you have kept off over 100 pounds!! That, in itself, is amazing!! And you cut off the regain before it got too far. I think if you did let the alcohol go, it would definitely help. I have to stay away from any salty snack food like chips, crackers, etc. Even if I get the supposedly "healthy" snacks like ricecakes or soy chips, it just starts my craving for the bad stuff up again. It totally sucks but there are just some things we have to just cut out all together to be able to lose weight.
Nice to meet you and good luck on your continued success! Have a great Friday!

You can do it! :) We can never give up none of us. It's like a life long battle. On your apple martini what are you using to make it? I wonder if we can't low carb your apple martini? I know Vodka does add calories but doesn't have carbs right? Is it that the alcohol is causing you to want to eat? I know it does that to me.
