I thought heavy weights were supposed to lose faster
Hang in there!! Early on nothing is really in your control. You just have to follow your rules and your body will do what it is going to do. Later, when you can eat more, it becomes totally in your control.
I agree we should not compare ourselves to others, but we all do. Have you used the OH weight loss planner to se what it predicts? It was pretty accurate for me:

See, my weight loss hasn't been quite as steady. I had a VSG in Aug 2011, and lost 85 lbs in 6 month, then the weight loss came to a crawl, and I'd go two months or more gaining and losing the same 3-5 lbs and then wham! drop 10. In the following year I only lost 50 lbs. I had the DS at the end of January, and lost 15 lbs in the first two weeks, but have been mostly stalled since. So in the last year and a half, I've lost a total of 170 lbs, and when you average that out it is almost 3 lbs/wk, and I'm not complaining! But it's hard when you hit those stalls that seem to never end, and you ask around and wonder what is wrong with yourself. But there's nothing wrong. It's just you being you.
Chick,
You are doing amazing!
You are doing everything right and the scale will keep moving south.
It took a while to put on and it takes a while to come off.
Our bodies stall sometimes to take a break from all the losing. It is then that you will lose inches. Take your measurements and keep them somewhere so you can be happy when the inches also start disappearing.
Keep up the good work!
