Beyond Dr. goal weight

Morning,

I would be interested in hearing from those *****ached their dr. goal weight  but have not reached their desired goal weight for themselves.   I ask because although i reached my dr. goal weight, it seems as if i can't get beyond that.  I need to loose an add'l 70/80 pounds and for the last 18 mos have gained/lost the same 10 pounds.

Does the body get to a set point and stay there?  Its frustrating because I still considered obese. My goal was to fall right at the overweight mark.  Geez!

That is a very good question and one I am curious about myself. Sorry I cannot give you answers but somebody here will have an idea.

the charts are not accurate, and the more you lose the harder it is to lose unless you eat less, but you need to keep your protein right

also when you have the ryn , you lose the malabsorbtion after 1-2 years   so it makes it harder to lose or keep it off

talk to your nut and get back on plan , measure everything and track it

Just get back on the horse and use your tool. I'd check in at the RNY board too.

My doctor's goal was 250, I'm at ~165 this morning. I just stick to the plan and so far it keeps coming off... I gotta work for it though. Every ounce is a fight.

The only goal my surgeon has for us is to get below a BMI of 30 (to not be "obese" anymore). For me that was around 190, which was way more than I wanted to be. I maintain between 135-140 now (BMI of 21).

Thanks again for the perspective.
