Mondays weight in
Ive been on a break up with my scale damnit. I havent weighed for a while. It has been good for my mental health even though Im always a little anxious about my weight.
So much of my self image has been tied to a number on the scale that I need to learn to stop that nonsense and be able to look at myself in the mirror without my reflection/perception depending on the number of the day. This has been a good exercise for me - I dont plan on resuming frequent weigh ins for at least another 3 weeks or so, but then I'll be reunited with my scale so who knows if I can really avoid it.
Id give up a few organs to lose 5 lbs a month, let alone 12!!! Thats freaking amazing.

So -2 for me this week. I'm pretty ambivalent about it. Whatever. I'm just feeling "done", mentally. It'll pass and I'll get excited again. I go through this every now and then. I think it keeps me from slitting my wrists.
Karine - a few things. You're doing GREAT. 12 pounds at month 6-7 is fabulous. Take a look at my profile and scroll ALL the way down if you want to see my weekly/monthly numbers. Don't compare, but that should give you hope. It WILL come off, it does slow down. A lot. I've lost 4 pounds in 3 weeks so far in month 19 and I'm thrilled because it's a FIGHT for these last 20-30 pounds. I'm going to win. So stop the disappointment, you'll be fine. Not everyone can be the weight loss bunny like pinkjellybean up there. *laughing* (dude, she's a MACHINE!).
Also, this is bugging me. I blame my editing staff. LOL... it's "Weigh In" not "weight in". LOL. Sorry. I HATE when people do that on forums, but the editing people always fix that when I mess it up. I'm the worst at grammar so I dunno why it's bugging me. I'm obviously losing whatever marbles I have left.
Alcohol - I have a drink a couple of times per month. I got pretty toasted a few months ago, split 2.5 bottles of wine with a friend at a girl's weekend house getaway. I do NOT recommend it. BAD decision... but a glass here or there hasn't really derailed me much. Just don't drink a bottle. Trust me.
