Introduction
Welcome Zra,
I started where you are beginning. I recall thinking I would never be able to shed that weight. Then I had the VSG on 04/16/12.
That was the start of a new life with all new friends. I know a big part of my success has been because of OH. I lived on the VSG board for 6 months before having the surgery and 2 months after the surgery. I eventually found my way here and have been here ever since.
The BM over 50 community has helped me tremendously. I get so much support from everyone and so much knowledge from the vets.
I am saving you a spot on the loser's bench. I cannot wait for you to be right here beside me!
Hugs,
Sharon

where all in it for the long hall
I will not have my surgery (vsg) till may June, but im still plugging away to lose weight the old way , I need to lose an other 30-35 lbs before surgery, but have been losing a few every week
make shore your doctor gives you a good plan to follow and read it through many times to make shore you understand it
call his office if you have any question, now is the time to find out everything you can no the day you get home from surgery have a problem and don't know what to do
great luck with your surgery , try to get as much rest as possible before surgery
Welcome. Im a couple years into this process, and 18 mo post op from the VSG, and even to this day, this board is my life saver. Post often and you will get tons of genuine support from people who completely understand the struggles. Having a support network is really important - at least for me - for long term success :)
