Everyone here is so supportive. I have looked at some of the forums and even posted but still feel like the 'outcast'. Hope I find my place here

Welcome!! Tell us a little more about yourself.

My name is Laura. I am a 46 year old single mom of 2. My highest weight was 339 (BMI=53) and my current weight is 135 (BMI=21). I had RNY 4.33 year ago and have maintained my weight for over 3 years now. Maintenance is so much harder than losing, but it's worth the effort. Life is good!!

My name is Celestel. I am 33 years old and married with 4 kiddos. My starting weight was 336.8 (BMI 57.8). Right now I weigh 297. I don't really have a goal weight. I don't care what I weigh but I do care that I can't walk up stairs or through the mall. I do care that my knees hurt and I do care I can't go to the amusement park and ride with my kids because I can't fit in the seats. So I guess my goal is just HEALTHY.

Hello and welcome!  : )

I love this board!  It's one of my favourites and the people here are very supportive and understanding!  I am Melissa.....I had VSG surgery on January 25th 2012 and my starting weight was 390 pounds (Starting BMI 59.3) and am currently still in the weight loss phase weighing in now at 176.6 (BMI 26.8).   My next  mini-goal is to be 164 (healthy BMI) and then to ultimately be around 150 pounds!

Welcome! This is a great forum. Starting out with higher BMI usually takes longer to hit goal. Post and comment or lurk. Stop in and keep focuss. Another tool in your "tool box"!
