Major victory! 203+ pounds later, I FINALLY weigh less than hubby!
Those of you that started out SMO with a thin hubby will totally appreciate this. I'm x-posting from the VSG board, but I HAD to share this here. Just HAD to because I know this was a HUGE goal for me that I NEVER EVER EVER thought I'd reach:
-----------------------------------
Tomorrow it will be 18 months since my surgery. 203+ pounds later, I FINALLY weigh less than hubby. My weight this morning was 171.7 and his was 172-something.
Wooooohooooo!!!
Scale is creeping down, I'm due for a stall again soon, but that's okay.
So, today I'm wearing one of his large t-shirts. It's an old gamer's shirt, he wears medium now (Lineage II for anyone that knows something about video games, I don't - right now, it fits, it wins).
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Candy,
I have this weird dream of getting on a teeter totter with my husband in the spring and see if he can keep me up because I weigh less than him! I had a vision of this as I read your post. I still have about 30 lbs to go, but cannot wait. It has been a joy just to be able to wear his t-shirts. I always wore 3-4 sizes bigger than him. I used to go to the Men's XL Store to buy my T-shirts in 6X. Wow!!!!
Congrats on your surgiversary. You have come such a long way and I am so happy and proud of you. I see on FB how almost every weekend you and your kids are at some race, or activity. I see the happiness in your and their faces and I am humbled at the gift you have given them. My daughter who is 35 has a lot of anger that i did not lose the weight earlier. She tells me whenever she sees me how much I did not do with her because of my weight. You will not have to deal with that from your kids when they are adults. Yay!!!!!
You are awesome and you inspire me.
Hugs,
Sharon
My mother was SMO when we were kids so, honestly, that was part of motivation - to do it when they are young.
Must go find a teeter totter... LOL!! xoxoxo, ya know... you did something now, you can only do this when you're ready. I bet you weren't ready back then.

Ahh Candy girl you finally accomplished the 200 pound loss and now are blowing by the numbers once again. I am stair stepping again with the same 1- 1.5 pounds for the past 10 days. It will start picking up again if I would just stay off the damned scale and not get caught up in the numbers game. Still pleased with a loss of 143 pounds in 10 months post op on the 22.
I see Dr Hanna tomorrow for follow up and I know he will be pleased with my progress. Walked Bella for 28 minutes this morning, loving her doggie stroller. Fighting the cold and winds here in Vegas but still trying to walk everyday!!!
Love ya skinny!

Yeah, I stair step around for 1-3 weeks before I drop some poundage. LOL. I've gotten so used to it, that it doesn't really phase me anymore, frankly.
You're doing GREAT! Amazing!
