It's another New Year........

I tend to always see the glass half-filled. I guess it comes from being the eldest of 3 and always having to care for my younger siblings while my mom worked to take care of us.

With that said, I am going into this New Year as I do every New Year determined to be gorgeous by the summer. I have spent 30 plus Januarys saying to myself that i would lose the weight for my New years resolution. I have promised  to work out and get my eating in check. Of course it has never happened. By April, I am usually 25 lbs lighter, and by July I am usually 35 lbs heavier.

I was contemplating this January a few weeks ago........ This time I am 100 lbs lighter than I was last January. I have been working out for 8 months and I know that when I lose the next 75 lbs I will be at my initial goal loss of 175 lbs. I am hoping that means I will never have to look another January in the face and worry about losing the weight of a human being to feel and look like i want to look.

I exercise like the woman I have always dreamed of being, I eat portions like a small child, and I do not gain because of this. The next step is to get my protein back to what it needs to be, my carbs down, and squash this weight issue once and for all. I am looking forward to completing this odyssey that i began 8 months ago. The stalls really got to me for awhile and I admit I have been lax in what I should be doing.

So since the glass is half full as always, I look forward to this continued journey and I delight in knowing I have all of you right beside me as I finally cross that finish line in 2013.

Happy New Year

Sharon

Good for you!! You can do this!! And once you have it down you will no longer have to worry about New Year's resolutions. My RNY was 4 years ago. At the 2 year mark I had a 10 pound gain during the holidays, but I got myself in check, lost it, and have not had any real gains since then. Life is good!!

Happy New Year to you, too!!
