Well guys----
Been out of touch for several months. Work related stuff (had to make the money while it was available). All my contracts ended as of today so I'm now without that daily work routine for awhile.
I spent a little time this evening reviewing some posts---I really regret missing some of the big events...Alison's 1/2 marathon and surgery; Candy's -200 and all those other SVs and NSVs. Congrats to everyone.
And so my news----GOAL! I got to 184.5 in mid November but didn't get it confirmed at my PCPs until last week. I really think this is probably about where I'm meant to be weight wise...it took 3 months for me to lose the last 10 pounds. The body--not so good. Lots of skin (surgeon and PS consult said about 20+ pounds if they did everything). Probably will not have PS though. I'm not even ready to think about that yet. I'll have to see where I'm going to take it from here. I'm really not going to change my nutrition goals for the next month...I'm taking a little 4 week sabbatical and want to be conservative since I won't be posting on MFP as I usually do. Have to go the old fashioned way---hand written notebook (yikes).
Just wanted to share one word with folks here---PERSEVERANCE. Hang in there! It's taken me a little over 2 1/2 years to make my goal. I know it get frustrating at times but this is a lifetime journey, as we say so often. Celebrate every successful day! Evaluate the bad days and move forward. Enjoy the journey and take advantage of new or revisited opportunities as they are presented. Enjoy your changing life.
OMG congrats!!!!!! I can only hope to one day reach my goal - I can only imagine how exciting this is for you!!! Im glad you were able to stop by and share.
