When Stalls Kick Your Ass.....
I am incredibly hormonal...thanks to dear Aunt Flo who stopped by to pay me a visit yesterday. I am entering week 4 of a stall..my first stall since starting this journey 10 months ago! I have bounced around between 184-188 pounds in the past 4 weeks...up and down like a kid on a trampoline!
What do you do for yourself during these hard times to keep your spirits up? How do you convince yourself that this is just temporary? Is it temporary? I have 24 pounds to a healthy bmi and 34 pounds to my ultimate goal! These thoughts that I may never make it are easily creeping on me these past few weeks!
Eek!
Honestly, I wish I had an answer for you but the bottom line is - stalls suck. They kill your spirits and your motivation. If you let it. I think stalls are good practice for maintenance when you have to make good choices even though you won't be rewarded by the scale. Just hang in there - this will pass.
And I'm so jealous this is your first stall. :)

Stalls are part of the journey. For some like me, I stall as much as i lose. I know for me that is the way it goes and know that after a stall when the scale finally does move, it's like winning the lottery. Patience is hard, but I also know during a stall I lose inches. Have you been measuring? I recently heard an actor, losing weight for a part, talk about his weight loss journey. He said he has long stalls in between his losses. I think as we get smaller it is harder to drop the pounds as fast. This too shall pass. Hang in there, you have come so far. Hugs, Sharon
Girl, I'm the queen of the stall. LOL. My typical pattern is lose a few, stall for a week or two, lose a few... etc. I go up and down too. Just keep doing what you're doing and look at your overall downward trend. You are going to slow down a LOT. Once I hit 190, it has been very slow. I've always been slower than you are, obviously, but mine screeched at that point :)
