Dizziness question
Hey
Need your input!! Since day one of surgery, I have felt light headed pretty much every day for a few seconds then it goes away. I have tried everything even eating more but it never made any difference!
Now it is getting worse. Since friday. On friday I had to stop working out cause I would have fainted. I had to go lie down in the change room for 5 minutes to wait for the dizziness to go away.
Today I almost fell after getting up(was watching tv). I walked like a drunk for a few seconds!!!
...
I do not feel hungry, nor tired! I have to admit I never felt so good!
I did have my period on friday, but not today(finished 2 days ago).
I do have a tendency to low blood pressure but I was training (so hearth beathing 160) on friday. So it seems like resting or moving is the same.
Any idea???? Had my 3 months post op blood test, everything was fine, blood sugar, iron, b12, etc... A really light deficiency in vitamine A but nothing worth worrying about as per my GP
My doctor told me it is just a "side effect" of major weight loss. I delt with daily dizziness from May until November. I even passed out in my shower at one point. I had all sorts of testing done, but nothing was found to be off...
Ironically, post plastics, Ive only had a few bouts of dizziness immediately after surgery and when I take my compression garments off - but the daily dizziness/lightheaded feeling I had disappeared. Seems like my body was shocked back to normal lol.

Hi Karine,
I think it's our bodies trying to catch up with the rapid weight loss. I have it too. I feel very light headed about 1-2 times per day. It is usually when i bend over. I also have low blood pressure for the first time in my life. I was borderline hypertensive prior to the surgery due to high weight and inactivity.
I would try to get my blood pressure checked just to make sure.
Hugs,
Sharon
It could be blood sugar levels varying during the day but considering my history of low blood pressure, plus the fact that I had just started some anti anxiety pills that lower the blood pressure a few days before it got worse, she thinks it's my BP. So she tested me and my pressure does go lower just by standing up. My resting pressure was 100/67. And after standing up quickly it dropped to 90/60. I have been testing myself fir 4-5 days also and BP never goes above 136 while training. Oh and I have learned that low blood pressure people do get dizzy when exercising cause their hearth do not like or react well to fluctuations.
I guess this is the price I have to pay for the rapid weight loss and being healthier.
The only solution: add some salt and be carefull. For now! I stopped the anxiety pills of course. But I have stopped them like 4-5 days ago and BP is still really low.
I guess I should be thankfull cause the lower the BP is the healthier your hearth is!!!
There is not much that can be done. When I feel dizzy I should stop. No more baths( yeah sure!!!!) ot hot showers(that I can deal with! An almost cold shower is perfectly fine for me!!!!)
