I am still around... Just not as round now....

Well, I am home today from the hospital. I have to say that this pain with this surgery was so intense. I am on oral medications and still dealing with a lot of pain. The pain meds cause constipation and nausea and so sometimes it feels like darned if I do and darned if I do.

There is so much swelling that I do not know what I truely look like, although this was not a plastics appt for looks but rather what had to be done for safe hernia repair. With the scale it shows a 17 lbs gain since surgery day but I know it is not weight gain since I have not been able to eat. Rather the swelling and fluids from the surgery.

Lots of tracking with meds, times, drains, and you all know the drills...lol.

Limited 5 lbs or less picking up/lifting. No pulling or pushing for the next 8 weeks. Walking is a must but not to over due that. I pushed a lot in the hospital with walking and was told to slow down. I do not want to mess this up so I am heeding to the Iimits...just hard.

That sucks about the pain. But at least now your alien twin can't escape through your stomach.  One day at a time and you will be back on your feet and walking with me. The positives are no bleeds! YAY! And just think of the scars as one more badge of honor.  Let me know if you need anything cause you know I'm not that far away.
