Today's discovery
I always proclamed myself a "non sugar addict" as I don't put sugar in anything, I don't like desserts, etc..
In fact, they junk food that I like that has sugar is chocolate, but that's really the only one. So I thought it was the chocolate I was craving, not the sugar. Might still be true, but I now know it's more likely to be both: the chocolate AND the sugar.
Why ? Today, I had some sesame bites from the low carb. I use to love my usual sesame bites. Those that I had today, ouach, there is NO sugar in them, they taste so ... insipid, fade, tasteless... And I right there thought:"ouach it's missing sugar big time"
So here is my new discovery: I thought I was not addicted to sugar, because I don't add sugar myself, but I am most probably addicted to sugar, because the manufacturer put TONS of sugar in their food.
I am seriously heading towards only home made EVERYTHING food, one step at a time!
I prefer savory over sweet, and I so miss carbs. I love sugarless coffee and tea, but miss a piece of toast or a bowl of cereal so much......
I have a pin interest page that includes all the foods I would eat if I could and they are all carb rich delights. To dream.....
Carbs and sugar are the monkey on my back...dammit.

But a toast is great and I go to the low carb store (if we jave this here you most probably have it in the states too) to buy my bread. One slice has like 4g of carbs. It is not the best tasting but it does the job when I am craving carbs! I freeze it so it last a long time
My name is alison and I am a carb addict. Oh wait, Im just a food addict lol, but sugar does me in. Sugar sets of a chemical explosion in my brain that destroys all will power.
I am shocked at just how much stuff has sugar in it. Almost everything it seems...even the seemingly "healthy" things in the stores.
Home made is definitely the way to go for an overall life style change - its easier to control what and how much you are consuming.
