I am super excited that I am 6 lbs from being out of the 400's. I started this journey weighing 589lbs and 10 months later I'm down 184lbs. Life is so different for me now. I have my good days but here lately I've been feeling kinda sad. Tears are welling in my eyes as I type. I'm proud of the weight loss but it feels like something is missing. Well something other than the food. Maybe its the hormones. I have a uterine ablation scheduled for Tuesday 10/23 so I'm hoping this will help. I have my 1 year anniversary in December and I'm hoping to have lost 200 lbs by then. Fingers are crossed....

I can't pinpoint one specific thing that's why it's weird for me. I'm sad because I turned 40, I'm sad because it's sunny or cloudy, sad because I have to cook...lol...but tomorrow I may feel different. I know it sounds crazy but its how I feel somedays. I can be in a room full of people and still feel alone. I have an appointment with my PCP in a couple of weeks and I will definitely mention these feelings.

What an amazing journey you have had. You are doing an amazing job. Good luck on your surgery. Perhaps the emotions are attached to the tremendous amount of weight you have lost. As women we store estrogen in our fat cells. As you lose the weight you are losing the estrogen as well. Lots of women experience this. You can read more about it on OH with a search.

I'm so happy for your great loss and the almost nre milestone.

Best,

Sharon

You are have done and are doing amazing!! Hang in there, I am hoping you feel some resolve with regards to your emotions since the surgery. It may take a while. Also as you continue to lose, you will continue to see changes and experience different things. Life will always bring great rounds of emotions. Prayers for you that your sadness will lesson. Good that you are aware of this and you are seeking advice from you medical professionals also.

Hang in there, our journeys are long and can bring good and not so great times.... But with each day that we are free to live more quality to our lives... Look forward with full anticipation to live even more!!

Hugs
