How Often do you weigh yourselves.  With so much more to lose, does the scale drive you crazy?

Once per week.  At maintenance, I will do it more often so that weight doesn't creep on me.

The reason that I am against weighing daily during weight loss is that it seems to make people crazy.  At the very least, even if you weigh more than once per week, then only count the weekly weigh in.  The scale is some cheap mechanical thing that cannot fully grasp the complexities of our bodies- especially not on a daily basis.

I have huge water fluctuations because I am very salt sensitive. I know not to weigh myself within 24-48 hours of eating out.

I weigh every morning, stark naked, after I pee. LOL

BUT do NOT do that if it's going to make you crazy. I'm used to seeing the number go up and down and jump around it doesn't worry me anymore. I just know it will and know it will come down again. I do it daily because it's simply a reminder to myself each day of where I am and what I'm doing.

I'm like Candy, I weigh every morning, naked after i pee. Yes, the scale drives me crazy, but I know it it going to keep me on track. I tend to gain when I ignore the scale. The scale keeps me honest about what I put in my mouth. We definitely have a love-hate relationship.

Best,

Sharon

I tend to weigh every day first thing in the morning since I am just about at maintenence.  Plus it doesnt drive me absolutey BONKERS like it used to.  Now its kinda cool.  I am usually dead on about what I weight with in a pound or so.  It really interesting to me to see how the body fat changes but sometimes the weight goes up.  And after a long run I usually gain about two pounds ( water retention during muscle healing).  My "scale" is now my jeans. :-)   If they are comfy all is good.  If not I will look back and see what I have eaten overt the past 2 weeks.    When I was losing if I weighed daily, a gain would destroy my day.  I actually had my hubs hide the scale for 2 weeks at at time.  My brain was much better.  :-)

Once a week works best for me -- especially since I purposely "forgot" where I hid my scale.  If I don't weigh once a week, I lose my accountability.
