2 Months Post Op

So today I am exactly 2 months out from surgery. I don't normally record weight in the middle of the week but since it's the 2 month mark I weighed this morning and I am 365lbs. That means that since surgery I have dumped 61lbs and since I started I have thrown away 87lbs. I'm not saying lost because I don't ever want to find that fat again.
There have been a lot of little NSVs as I go along. I've put some in my blog like realizing I can shut the car door without leaning in to make sure my butt isn't in the way. Or the fact that my car radio is louder because my fat leg isn't covering the speaker anymore. I still have a long way to go and more to lose but I feel energized in a way. Normally before when I lost weight I would reward myself with a treat of food but this time I don't need to. I very rarely feel hunger, I get my water in, I'm sticking to the plan and while I've made some exceptions there has really been no major straying.
I'm walking easier and faster and slowly the pain in my knees is decreasing. I move easier. I get up out of chairs easier. And people from my family and friends and coworkers (who don't know I had surgery) have noticed my weight loss, even if I don't. Visibly I look at myself and can't tell I have lost weight but I have definitely lost weight because I've gone down a size in jeans and one foot is a half size smaller than the other. My feet look thin and my hands seem to be getting thinner.
I made my short term goal which was 365 by my 2 month mark and I just squeaked in but that's ok. My next short term is another 30 pounds by my birthday in November. Not sure if I can pull it off but I will give it the old college try.
I'm glad I have a walking and swimming buddy to keep me accountable for exercise and hope soon to be able to ride the bike I bought. I'm moving right a long and am so happy that I made the decision to get the sleeve. It's all up to me but the sleeve sure helps and makes things easier.
And my reward is something to keep me going.

Yep, I'm weak. I've looked at that little face for 7 weeks and he has to be mine!
I can't wait to get him on Saturday. I think I better bring my backpack on Tuesday's walk in case he can't keep up. :-)
See you tonight!
