Well, I am 4 days into my lifestyle change and it is going well!!!!  The first day was rough but since then it has been great!  I feel so much better already!  I have a protein shake for breakfast, another shake for lunch along with a sandwich and then a healthy supper.  The Visalus shakes are keeping me feeling full and the Lose It app on my iPhone is helping me to keep track of my calories.  Based on my weight and height in order to lose 2 pounds a week I can have just over 2600 cals a day.  Most days I don't make it over 2000.  I was hungry the first day because I just did the shake for lunch but now that I have added the sandwich I am fine.  I am still holding strong to my resolve NOT to step on the scale or dig out the measuring tape to see how many pounds or inches I have lost.  I booked an appointment with our local nurse practionner to get her to run some blood work which I hope to have repeated in 6 weeks to see how my blood sugar and cholesterol levels have changed.

Gotta say that I have tons more energy and that I feel FAN - FRIGGIN - TASTIC!!!!!!!!

Fingers crossed it keeps up :)

Its funny how things work - getting started is always the most difficult, but as you continue, it's such a positive feeling when you make good choices that it makes you want to keep going.

Great job so far- keep up the great work and keep us updated!! I'm rooting for you!

Way to go so far!

I have to say the first 4 days or so are always the hardest. So this is a huge celebration. Big tip! Make sure your celebrations are now about YOU and not about food.

That takes a huge amount of thought. I still struggle with it.

Just know we're all here waiting to hear your progress.
