Hi, who are you?????
Hi,
I'm Patty from near Dayton, Oh. This is my favorite forum as I have 200 to lose. Actually, only 150 from my sleeve date of 7/10, just realized that! I am still thinking this isn't going to work either as I have no faith in my body. I said I'd never have wls, but I've never felt better. It was worth it just to feel this good. I really think this surgery changes how your body works somehow. I'm mostly a lurker, but ya'll have been my inspiration and source of education.
I just turned 60 and had my surgery a week later. My last finally graduated HS. I'm a late starter. I am so looking forward to the rest of my life and getting me back where I used to be before marrage and kids. Its my time!
I'm 54 and before i had the surgery I was, " woe is me". I thought I was going to be a super-obese senior citizen and worried how I'd get out of a chair or walk as I got older being fat. Now after losing only 72 lbs I feel like i am 25 and can do anything! WLS rocks! When I reach goal 90 lbs from now I will be unstoppable.
It was hard for me to be an empty nester. My daughter got married and moved out at age 26. I wanted to kill myself. She was an only child and I felt like my life was ending. Boy was I wrong. Now I have grand babies and i love seeing them as often as I can and I love when they leave .
Congrats on finishing school. That is wonderful.
Sounds like you are doing so great!
This is my favorite forum too.I also love my IL forum as well.
Best,
Sharon
Been absent again for a little while.

---Just turned 60 in June
---Single, no kids but I do have a baby, Cotton---now 12 year old Bichon
---Retired from a company but I'm back with them as a contractor and have overdone it a little--lots of days and hours for the rest of this year. Messing with my exercise routine!
---Have lost 229 pounds--will post about this tonight or tomorrow.
I recall your posts when I first started my journey. Your posts helped me a lot.
I have been out of work since May and have really enjoyed the time to work on myself. I worry about going back to work and overdoing it again, and not making the time to exercize. I know there are many on here that do manage to work and stay fit.
What an amazing journey you have had! Thanks again for sharing.
Best,
Sharon

I love reading your posts and am in awe of your weight loss.
Everytime I see your pic in the forum, I think to myself, "that gal has *****"
I cannot imagine what it is like to say, "I have another 28 to go" I am excited because I finally have less than 100 to go.
Thanks so much for sharing your journey. It is an inspiration.
Best,
Sharon

Beautiful name.
Corporate Travel Agent sounds like a fun job. Is it? Do you spend your day looking for good rates to exotic places?
Losing 100 lbs is my dream. I have had a slow loss for the past month. Because of this forum, I have not lost faith that I will do it.
Congrats on a great journey!
Best,
Sharon
Thank you! I can't say that it's all that fun...I love the perks I get from being a travel agent here and there but having to be the "travel police" sometimes and advise people about their company travel policy gets a little crazy at times.
Most of the day is spent booking domestic and certain international trips for business travelers.
And definetely keep the faith! The loss WILL COME! (And if not I'll kick it's butt for you!)
