couple of NSVs and a SV

 first the SV - I started recording and counting just after Christmas - lost 22 lbs so far. Not amazing, but I'm pre-op and eating a fairly high calorie diet still (2200 per day).

NSVs - as I've mentioned before, I have rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, stasis dermatitis and peripheral edema and am dealing with knee probs (osteo arthritis and tracking issues)...so exercise was kind of an abstract future good. Well, I've been walking - I'm up to 2 km - and attending rehab physio...

so this weekend I went to a conference. In spite of a lot of drinking (atypical for me), I stayed within my calories, did lots of walking & standing, walked up & down stairs and danced a few bars with one of the big-wig speakers. Wish I'd been using a pedometer!

Amazingly, I spent a lot of time hanging out with the absolute STARS of the conference, and had a blast doing it. Told quite a few of my pals there about the surgery and cuz they're all healthy sciencey people they thought it was great!

it was awesome!

 You encourage me.  I have trouble walking (hip and knee joint pain) and just worry that I'll not be able to get into and exercise is good mode.  It is nice to hear that someone is overcoming so much of the same things that cause me problems.

Yea!!!!!  Way to go.
