Well I'm 2 months from surgery and still making changes. Remy dog and I have been walking the horse track at the feed store in the evenings and I've lost another 15 lbs. I notice the difference because my knee doesn't ache as much anymore which is honestly such a relief. You have no idea how much it hurts til it stops hurting. Thankfully this means I can get off the Aleve and ibuprofen now.

I went through some boxes and found old clothes that no longer fit because I outgrew them so I washed them and put them in my small dresser in anticipation of wearing them as I go through stages of weight loss.

I'm stocked up on 4 different protein powders, shakes and snacks in case I don't care for something after surgery. Plus I have all kinds of popcicles and "ice creams" made up and frozen in little containers. I cooked up 3 pots of broth, chicken, beef, and vegetable and froze little containers of it. I even made my favorite veggie soup and pureed it. Doesn't taste bad at all really.

I got part of my tax return so I'm only $2000 from surgery and I have picked up extra on call hours at work so I will have just enough the week before surgery.

One step at a time but I'm getting there.

You are a warrior who is getting ready for battle. I love it. You know what you have to do and you are making every change you can to do it. You are going to have a great journey. I'm saving a place on the losers bench for you. I want to sit next to a warrior. Best, Sharon

Are you getting excited?  I know what you mean about the pain!  OMG!  I used to hurt all over especially my legs.  I didn't even really know I was in pain like you...until it stopped.  I think your doing great!  Changing before surgery makes things easier.

Amazing progress. You should be so proud. Sometimes just being prepared makes things go that much more smoothly. Way to go.
