Monday Morning Weigh In
So this is my first time to weigh in since 4/17. I really thought about this a lot last night. I listened to my body and it said: You are getting stronger and faster every day. You actually enjoy running. For the first time in YEARS you like the way you look. You work pants almost fell off of you last week. You are in a Medium scrub pants and this time last year you were in a 3x. I fit into a size 10 this week (it wasn’t pretty, but they fit. ) ?
Then this morning I got on the scale and it said: Oh look, you made your first goal. Guess you should have set it lower huh? I bet if you get back on the scale tomorrow it will say 178. You really thought it would be a lower number didn’t you. To bad you are still overweight.
Its funny how right after surgery my scale is my newest, bestest friend and now I really hate it. It is not good for my mental health. So, I am sticking with the every 2-week weigh in. I go to the doctor on the 16th, so I wont have a choice then. But honestly, I have felt better in the last 2 weeks than I have in months NOT obsessing about what the scale says. Even though it doesnt sound like it, I am excited to be at my goal. :-)

I am pretty stoked about the weight loss - I dropped my calories to 800 last week (M-F anyways) and carbs to around 50, and voila...but I was also extremely *****y and fatigued trying to live like that and exercise. This week, I don't have much of a plan except to continue to keep my calories lower and stay away from most carbs, but i'm going to take it day by day and tweak things until I can find a happy point for weight loss and fitness. I really really really want to get these last 30 lbs off so I can start PS. (okay and I want to lose a few lbs before Vegas - consult with Dr. Sauceda and birthday trip!)
I am totally celebrating this week(not with food of course) after running my first 10K yesterday in 1:16. Despite my clinically obese status and deformed looking body, I couldn't be happier. I have never felt so strong and healthy and I have to try and hold on to these feelings regardless of the scale.

I plan on a lower body lift, thigh lift, boobs and arms. The whole damn thing basically. I'm not planning on doing anything through insurance/kaiser - if I get treated like crap for basic medical problems, im not trusting them to do major reconstructive work.

Kat -- Way to go on hitting a goal and even better feeling great. You worked so hard, and agonized a little, (maybe a lot LOL) and in the end you did it!
I especially applaud you for not caring about the weight as much as how you feel. You have truly succeeded.
Allison -- good job on both the 10K and the loss this week. you are almost there. I you will make it.
Christine -- Good job this week, 200 lost is great milestone. you will hit if before you know it.
I screwed up this week. Tuesday diet and exercise went out the window do to work issues. By Friday is said "f*** it, I'm taking a vacation from this". I spent Thursday through Sunday eating anything I damn well pleased, and totally ignored the gym.
I enjoyed every minute of it.
