Holy ****

So uhh something unexpected happened today. I bought about 6 pairs of jeans exactly a month ago on 3/25. Most of them were pretty tight on my stomach but I figured they would loosen up soon. So the jeans started looking loose after about 2 weeks to the point that my boss told me I needed new clothes! I had purchase 2 of the pairs in a size smaller because they were such a good price and put them in my closet for the next step of the process. I just put them on today and they fit pretty well with just a TINY bit of my stomach hanging over. I don't do that muffin top thing regardless of how big I am so when I say the pants fit, it means they fit AROUND my stomach not IN my stomach!  So anyway, the biggest size I ever actually wore was a 28 but that's because I had stretched those pants out so much but nothing would fit me at the store so realistically I know that I was wearing a 32 or higher. As of today, I officially fit into a 24 and a 22 in stretchy type jeans. I haven't worn that size since I was 19 or 20! I'm freakin 29 now! How crazy.

I'm a little sad that I spent so much money on all of these jeans and now I have to go spend more money! Now I'm going on ebay to try to get some money back so I can buy some more and now I know to only buy like 4 pairs and just rotate. It's also time to buy shirts. I haven't bought any in all of the 90 pounds that I've lost! A lot of the shirts go lower than my thighs. I look ridiculous.

It's bittersweet! :)

CONGRATS! Don't keep making the mistake of buying new clothes while you are still losing weight, I did that too and I totally regret it! None of those things fit me anymore!! LOL! The above poster is right, TJMAXX, Ross, Goodwill, Thrift stores, go somewhere cheap.

Good Luck,

and hey how bout some progress pics? I bet you look totally different already!

I hear your frustration but turn it around and think of how great it is to be in a smaller size.  I think ebay is a good idea.  I know people who have sold and bought clothes on there.

Thanks guys. I guess I have to venture out and see what stores actually sell my size. I went looking for shirts today and actually fit into 22/24s which I can't remember happening since I was 19 or 20 either. It was so crazy because when I looked in the mirror I felt sooo small. I know if I took a picture I'd probably be bigger in the picture (my mind always does that to me) but holy **** I felt like I'd actually wear tight clothes. You should have seen the shirts I was trying on and actually about to buy ****il I found out the real price of them!)

Does TJMaxx have 3Xs? I haven't tried on shirts there in a month so who knows if I'd fit a 2X by now....? That would be too crazy!  I know Ross does but their larger sizes aren't long and I have really big boobs  and their shirts seem to be more wide than long but mannnn their prices are right!!!

Today was a head trip as far as shirts went and as far as staring at myself in the mirror. I honestly don't feel like I'm the size that little kids will jump up and down and scream at anymore like they used to. It's such a crazy feeling.

I'm so happy for you and so glad that you took this step to reclaim your life while you're still young!

I'm exactly where you are. I used to wear size 30 stretchy jeans from Roamans and now I wear an 18/20 in their jeans! I love stretchy jeans with no back pockets or zippers. If that makes me an old lady, too bad. I get them at Walmart too.

But look everywhere you go. Earlier this year I walked by a sale rack at Meijer and thought, Eh, they won't have anything for my fat ass (old habits die hard).

I went into the dressing room with an ARMLOAD of tops and a pair of jeans. I wound up with three really nice tips, 1 and 2x, and the jeans were size 22 WITH back pockets and zipper and they fit and felt great! Best part? The tops were $5 each and the jeans $6!!

Look everywhere, try everything on, take multiple sizes in the dressing room and keep an open mind. I find cute tops at Kmart! Their misses are starting to go to xx/20 and they're a little cheaper than plus.

I don't have any luck at TJMaxx/Marshalls/Burlington, their stuff is too skimpy. And I have no luck at all at Goodwill.
