Today I'm going to have an EGD done and I'm nervous. I don't know what to expect if anyone can tell me. Thank you. And please say a prayer for me tomorrow. Thanks, Andi

I'm scheduled for mine on Friday, so I haven't been through it yet.  However, from what my doctor told me, this is just a very simple diagnostic test and nothing to be worried about.  He told me I'd be asleep, and when I wake up, I probably won't even know it's been done.  There's no general anesthesia like what is used in a true surgical procedure, only medication that helps you relax and go into a light sleep, so you're not uncomfortable.  You should be fine.

Let me know how it goes!

Got my EGD done today.  Super easy and there isnt much to worry about.  Basically you just follow instructions, get a little drugged up and you are done.   Took about two hours soup to nuts.

Yes my EGD was very easy. The worst part was I woke up coughing and needed my inhaler but that's not the normal. I have a really bad sore throat but the dr said to expect that for a few days. Today tornadoe**** my area and I am thankful I and my family and friends were safe and made it through it. Please pray for all the people who were affected by it thank you. Andi

Great to hear your EGD came out ok!

We heard about all the bad weather around Dallas; glad you and your family are safe.
