I'm so anxious to get started and a little nervous.

Any words of wisdom from the vets?

When I'm nervous and axious, I like to write. I keep a blog (both on OH and a private one) where I record my thoughts. Helps me sort things out and relieve some stress. Just try and keep busy because its easy to psych yourself out. It's a scary thing to do, no doubt, but focus on why you are doing this and what you hope to accomplish post-op.

I had to just keep reminding myself that millions of people have surgery and are just fine...I was just scared of the actual surgery part.

Good luck to you :)

I have a list of reasons in my head as to why I'm doing this.  Writing them out is a great idea.  It will be fun to check them off as a I go.

I hate to have my picture taken.  I know I'm SMO but the image in my mind is not as bad as the reality of photos or my image in the mirror.  I do need to take photos so I will see the change.

I am just thinking on this end how fun it is to take photos and see them and the differences in comparison. If you do not have to many with different angles....just a suggestion to get many different angles. It is truely amazing to reflect back on. Please try to be ok to have them taken and maybe just do not look at them. At a point after surgery and you have lost, then go back and look at them. You will be very happy I beleive after the fact that you have them. People will be amazed when they see them in comparison. It will reveal the loads of work when you see the pictures. Amongst all the other things that will be showing you in every way your weight loss.

Life will be so different.....

Snap snap snap snap...some pictures!

Smiles and hugs,
Be silly have fun with it and then look later at some point when you are ready!

Here the hospitals schedule the surgery times not the doctors.  I will get a call tomorrow from the hospital letting me know what time my surgery has been scheduled for on Monday.
