Just over 4 years out now!

Makes me cringe to look at this before picture, all 501 pounds of me:

These are the pants I wore the day I went into surgery:

Hmmm...tips? Well, I make sure I nail at least 100 grams of protein a day, eat all the bacon I possibly can, keep my carbs to less than 15 per meal, I dont do lowfat because of the added sugars and subtracted taste so only full-fat and flavor here. I get my supplements in every day, and when I get the munchies, I snack on protein so I make sure to have something ready at all times i.e. boiled eggs, cooked meats, cheese cubes and stuff. When I crave salty crunchy things, chips are obviously not the best answer so I have a bag of microwave pork rinds, or the snack packages of roasted salted seaweed sheets. I think the biggest thing that has helped me is reworking the way I think about food. There is NO food that I forbid myself. If something is forbidden, it makes you want it even more. I can eat ANY food I want, the difference is, now I have the power to CHOOSE not to. Sometimes yes, I may have a few chips, or a piece of really excellent chocolate, or oh my, a cupcake! But, I have it, I enjoy it, and I move on. I will never ever beat myself up mentally for what I put in my mouth. Life is too short and there are just too damn many varieties of bacon out there to try lol.

Protein, there is NO such thing as bad food, only bad choices, and bacon is proof God loves us!
