I have been in the process of doing all the test my dr wanted me to. i found a wonderful dr her name is Dr. kennedy who will do my gastric bypass. She's given me of hope that I can loss this weight and get healthier and improve my health problems. I have an EDG left to do and 3 nutrition classes to do and a nuclear stress test! if anybody can tell me what to expect from those test and can learn all need to about eating after gastric bypass in those 3 meetings with nutritionist??? Also I'm looking at June having the surgery does anyone know why the dr wants to wait 3 months to do the surgery?? sorry for so many questions. thanks for any help!!!! God bless, Andi

This is exciting!! I know that you will do great. Three months is not to long. I beleive that is about the length of time that I waited. Well about 2 1/2 months. It most likely is to get all your appts in and completed, your pre-surgery diet, and also they may be scheduled out that far simply because that is next available. Not sure why... but I do know that it will fly by and be history soon enough!!

Hang in there!!

Looks like you got the ball rolling. Some surgeons have you follow an eating plan and waiting period to make sure you are able to stick with the post-op eating plan.

Good luck!
