Pre Op Diet

Started pre op diet today, I am so excited I just can't contain myself.  I hope this excitement gets me though my hunger.  LOL  My only worry is that darn flight to Puerto Vallarta.  I had a horrible experience flying to and from Cabo in 2010.  Of course I bought two seats for myself, and it was such a mess up.  First they put me at the very front where the arms don't lift up. (I guess they were planning on me splitting my butt).  They made a big seen about it.  Then on the flight back they sold one of my seats.  My poor husband stood on the tar mat till the plane was completely loaded (110 degrees out) to see if they had a seat for him to go home.  It was awful!!!  I still cry about it.  Of course they make a big deal about it to everyone why the plane is being shuffled around.  I truly pray this is a much better experience.

I hope you went with a different airline!! What a disaster!

Just smile and dream about your great future ahead of you.

Just my experience but warm chicken broth (or any broth) helps reduce hunger - warm liquids in general but im not sure how strict your liquid diet is.

Thanks Doll, thinking about my future is all I can think about at this time.  That is my strength to get me through.

I just had some hot chicken broth and it does help a lot.

Thanks again.

I was so excited the day I started mine and the two weeks were over before I knew it and it was surgery day!
Good luck with your preop diet and I hope your flight is a much better experience this time around!

Thanks Tami,
So far it is going ok on the pre op.  All I keep thinking about is my new life and all the things I want to do.  I appreciate your support. :-)

We are excited for you also.

Try not to sweat the flight to much. Down the road when you fly it will be without a seatbelt extender, and the previous flights will be a distant memory.

Focus on the long term prize, and you can get through anything short term.

Cheryl, I just wanted to say I wish you the best on your pre-op diet, and on your surgery!  I also hope your trip is better than your last one.  I flew a couple of years ago, and it was such a humiliating experience.  Seems many flight attendants are less than accommodating, and a little short on human kindness!

Anyway, good luck on your journey!

Beth
