Good morning/afternoon depending where you are located.I've posted here before however i spend most of my time on the vsg board however i love this board just as much because you guys are just as supportive and i feel like i can relate to most of you being that most of the ppl over here are over 400pds of have a higher bmi.....Anyway I'm saying all this to say that tomorrow is my big day and as of right now I'm actually really calm.I don't know how I'll feel walking in the hospital tomorrow.I'm the first surgery of the day and I'm excited about that.I just want to thank you guys for the support that you have given me.Any extra little tips that you want to give me would be greatly appreciated.

I'm on a Everchanging journey.

Yay!  Congrats on the upcoming surgery.  My thoughts and prayers are with you, but I know you'll be fine.  I was the first surgery of the day too  (7:30 am).  It's pretty great.  I was up and walking around by 2 pm.

I don't know what your surgeons policy on drinking after surgery is, but I wasn't allowed to have any liquid (even ice!****il after my leak test, and that was at 11:30 pm.

If you might have to go through something like this, buy Oasis!!  It's a mouth spray/mouth moistener and it saved my life (and sanity!!!).  It's along the same aisle with the Gas X strips and stuff (another life saver).

Good luck!

Thank you pozner,I actually asked that question at my final pre opt visit and i was told that he does and endoscopy before you leave the operating room to make sure that you don't have any leaks,I guess tomorrow i will figure that all out.I know that the hospital I'm going too give the swabs and i already have my chap stick.I already have my stack of gas x,chewables and the pill form.

Yay! SO excited for you. I post a lot on the other board as well but I will say too that I feel even more at home on this board because of the higher weight. I hope you continue to feel calm. Everything will be over and done with before you even know it im sure. When you get to feeling better let us know how you are and how it went. Mine isnt till April. Cant wait to join you and so many others on the losers bench! :))))
