Glad to hear it! Good thoughts going her way.Brenda--how are you doing?
Thanks for asking ;) I am doing fabulously! I guess my couple of days sitting on my butt has left me feeling antsy, so I am slowly starting non-strenuous chores around my house. I can go up & down both flights of stairs -- just tried it for the forst time, today. My strength is growing, I am swollen, but the pain is truly manageble!
For those out there thinking about panniculectomies - I HIGHLY recommend it! The pain is deffinitely there the first three days, but it gets a lot easier as your progress.
I can see my THIGHS! I will post photos, I promise.
Stay Positive!!!
Brenda : )~
Hello, thought I would post quickly in response to the pain also. The pain is very manageable and each day after does get better. If your body is allowed to have pain meds the ones that are out there work great and it should be with pain meds in control. Coughing hurts. I had blood pressure issues and the fact that I have blood clotting issues it limited my pain meds, a couple times not being able to have any pain meds.
The surgery has given me a whole new world with my mobility issues and so forth.
I am teaching myself to move about with out the belly. It feels like my legs were rag doll legs that flapped about freely and the belly that used to control them is no longer holding them back. I am just so in awe!
Hugs.
Sherrie
