Heading out tomorrow!
I'm heading for Miami tomorrow and will have surgery Tuesday. I'm excited, nervous, and for some odd reason, a little sad. Maybe it's more melancholy. I went out for a girl's night tonight and when my friends dropped me off I realized that I won't be seeing them again until after my surgery and when I do return, I'll be on my journey to weight loss. Some reason that just really made me sad even though my friends will be some of my biggest cheerleaders when I get back.
Prayers for safe travel, safe surgery and healing please!
See you all when I'm back on Key West Time,
Tami

Tami, best wishes for your surgery Tuesday! I understand how you would be nervous and excited, even sad. To me, it seems like WLS is the end of one chapter of life, and the beginning of a new one. I think sadness at that event is pretty normal.
I'm very happy for you, and will be thinking of you; be sure to post when you feel up to it, and let us know how you are!

Hey Tami,
I think we all felt a little melancholy before surgery -- it is a big change in your life. Try to focus on the future and how you will enjoy all the hard work you are about to put into YOU! Be patient, do not expect to lose all your weight immediately, and just follow what you've learned.
You have cheerleaders around you -- so remember to cheer YOURSELF on -- to VICTORY! You can do this, and you won't miss being fat, trust me!!!
Stay positive, and you will be out enjoying fun with your girlfriends in no time -- just no booze!!!
HUGS!
