Had my consult Tuesday!
Finally got past the first hurdle on my WL journey, by having my consult with the surgeon. Yay! 
Guess I'm on my way, although I still don't quite believe it. I asked him when he thought I might be able to have the surgery, and he said that assuming pre-op stuff gets done quickly, maybe one to two months from now! His assistant also said information has been sent to my insurance company, so that should be in the works, as well.
I have a cardiac clearance, pysch consult, EGD and colonoscopy, and appt. with his nutrionist to schedule. With my insurance, I'll have to see my PCP to get referrals for all these. Going to be busy next week making all these appointments! Also need an updated pap.
Just writing it all down here, I'm getting excited! I'm so ready to get back some semblance of a life. More and more, I've been feeling like it's been draining away, and that I've totally lost all control, so this surgery kind of gives me the sense of a light at the end of the tunnel.

Wow, you sound well on your way! It is exciting to think about getting rid of co-morbidity's and all the non scale victories that are possible with weight loss surgery.
In July my insurance started a pilot program to cover 40 wls in the fiscal year. I'm approaching the last hurdle and am hoping for approval next week.
