Hey Amber---
No plastics here either unless i win the lottery or something equally unexpected.

I do use various types of Spanx particularly for my gut and up to the bra area. Basically they're everyday type wear just to smooth things out and stop the jiggle.

They also have what I call "all in ones" that include a bra and go various lengths---to the ankles, calves, thighs----Just My size has some good ones but I might go to a store to try those on. I have 1 of those for "dress up" clothing.

Just can't bring myself to get any for my arms either----although needed badly---just can't do it!
No sleeveless in my future.

Go slow on these as I think they are expensive and your sizes will change. I basically focus on the everyday Spanx and getting refitted for some good bras as needed. They make a ton of difference.

And welcome!!!! This is a great group.

Thanks Elaine for the great tip! I went to the Spanx site. There is one that goes down to the thigh and comes up and over the shoulder..looks like it pushes the boobs together...so you wear your own bra. I think this one looks like a contraption...but looks effective..any ideas?

I don't really care so much about looking smaller, just want to be feeling better about all the skin and having it not be so damn noticable.

They are quite expensive and with surgery coming up, I'm not sure I can justifiy buying anything at the moment. However, are they true to size? and can you wear them for a while and they will still hold in all in? Ahhh..I'm going to drive everyone, including myself, with all of this!

I appreciate your help with my hopelessness...if all else fails, I can just look at it like I do now! LOL

Hi and WELCOME!

I don't wear any compression stuff, but I do wear spandex when I workout- otherwise JIGGLE OVERLOAD!

I hear really great things about Slimpressions though from other WLS folks.

Hope you get your surgery date soon!

Danni~

I giggled when I read your reply..jiggle overload..I SO get it!!! I  have that same problem!

As I said before, I really did not know that spandex came in big girl sizes...lol. But, since Alison mentioned that, I've been thinking that would probably be a lot less expensive than Spanx..and hey, if it works..awesome!

Arggg..it is frustrating. I have a muffin top and anything dividing that instead of all body coverage..I'm wondering if that would even work?
