I hoped I never had to write this post
My hair is falling out . I always knew it was possible. I just really hoped it wouldn't happen to me . About a month ago I decided to cut 15 inches off of my ponytail leaving me very little hair, cute haircut but extremely short. I'm choosing not to freak out about it (although it is quite scary). Instead I think I'm going to look at even shorter hairstyles just in case .
My hair started falling out 6 months BEFORE surgery, and continues to fall out almost 9 months out - and in more than just a few strands. I have to clean my shower drain and brush every other day!!
Some how, I still only have relatively few balding spots after more than a year of losing hari, so i'm pretty sure you are going to be okay!
And it grows back pretty quickly actually so no need to freak out! I consider it another part of shedding some old layers and brining out the new us :)

I've lost my hair so many times in my life for various reasons.
Right now, my hair is thinner than last year. In addition to the surgery, my thyroid numbers got out of whack which also causes me to lose hair.
It's thinner but still healthy, but I'm not particularly fond of it right now.
I know how horrible, it can feel. This time though, I'm just focused on my weight loss and health. I'll let the hair do whatever it will do. Right now it still looks good because of the haircut and the healthy look of it. I hope that remains the case, but I am on a new mission. I haven't weighed in the 230s in 20 years.
It sucks, but try to embrace the good changes. They are so important. The hair loss is not within your control. Rock a cute haircut or something and try to stay positive.

I also started losing my hair many months after surgery and for a bit I thought I was going to escape it. I can say that I have thin hair but not balding spots! I can now see the grow back as it is growing back in like when I was a little girl.... Light colored and soft curly locks. Will see how it goes....I am just happy to see it growing back in.

BIOTIN and the vitamin Hair skin nails from costco are helping me grow new hair.
cut my hair shorter now 3 times since surgery
Thickening products in the hair and only wash my hair every 3 days *unless I work out or swim or something. Try to reduce how much I touch it.
I went from waist length hair to a bob in these short 6 months.
Once I cut it down in stages, honestly I felt better, because the 18 inches of hair falling out of my head really messed with me,
Let me know if I can help in any other way I know exactly how you feel.

I have very short hair, and I noticed that it was thinning at about 6months, then at about 12months it was all back to normal. It is a little bit thinner than it was, but nothing noticeable and certainly no bald sections or anything like that.
