Today makes 4mths since my RNY. I've loss exactly 50 pounds since surgery. I sometimes wish the weight would come off faster but I'm just grateful that it's coming off. When I started this journey I weighed in at a whopping 380 pounds and today I weigh 307 (including pre op weight loss).

So how has my life changed in the past 4mths?

I feel better
I look better
No more high blood pressure
My knees don't constantly hurt
I have more energy to play with my 3yr old twins
My meals are planned around protein grams
I cut 15 inches off of my hair
I've been told I look 10yrs younger
I love to Zumba
I'm hopeful and excited about my future
Nobody at work knows about my surgery and when I eat lunch with co-workers I don't have food issues that would cause anyone to wonder

I struggle getting all my vitamis in everyday (I take them all ALMOST everday)
I have BM issues so I now take stool softeners everyday
Sometimes I worry about future complications (haven't had any thus far)
Also worry about not making to goal

Dori!  Fantastic!  You sound like you're doing great.  We started at the same weight, and you had surgery nearly a month after I did.  Right around 4 months is when I hit a stall, a month long stall.  You may hit it, too.  Don't get too frustrated.  I had a few bad days, where I was just like F it all, why bother working out, nothing is happening.  About a week into the stall, all of a sudden everyone was like man you look good, look at your boobs, you have a figure...body rearranging.  And almost a month to the day, all of a sudden I was down 7 lbs.

Twins!  Lucky you!  I nannied for a few sets of twins, and I loved taking care of twins more than a singleton.  I'm sure they're loving all the extra play time with Mommy :~)

Keep it up girl!

Gina :~)
